Privacy Policy

Overview
This website is operated by Physician's Disability Insurance Agency LLC. The primary purpose of this website is to provide information about disability insurance products and to facilitate requests for coverage comparisons. We are committed to protecting your privacy and securing your personal information. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: indirectly through our site's technology (such as cookies and server logs), and directly when you voluntarily provide information through forms or communications.
When you request a coverage comparison or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, state of residence, occupation, income range, and details about existing coverage. This information is necessary to provide accurate quote comparisons and coverage recommendations.
Our website may also automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This data helps us improve the user experience and analyze site performance.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to prepare disability insurance quotes and quote comparisons, respond to your inquiries, communicate with you about your coverage request, and improve our services. We may also use your contact information to follow up on your request or provide relevant educational content about disability insurance.
If you consent to receive communications via SMS, we will use your phone number to send messages related to your coverage request. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message.
Information Sharing
As an independent insurance agency, we work with multiple insurance carriers to obtain coverage comparisons on your behalf. By submitting information through our website, you agree that your information may be shared with insurance carriers, their representatives, and underwriting partners for the purpose of obtaining premium indications and processing applications.
We will not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not share your information with unrelated companies or organizations except as required to fulfill your coverage request or as required by law.
Insurance carriers maintain their own privacy policies governing how they handle the information we share with them. Most carriers have strict policies on disclosure, and their ability to share your information may be further restricted by federal and state privacy laws.
Data Security
We treat all personal information as sensitive data and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze site traffic, and understand how visitors interact with our content. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the website.
Chat Assistant
Our website offers an AI chat assistant that answers general questions about disability insurance and can help you start a quote request. To improve the assistant's accuracy and the quality of our responses over time, we log the conversations visitors have with it. Before these logs are stored, we automatically redact personal identifiers such as email addresses and phone numbers, so the records reflect the questions asked rather than who asked them.
Please do not enter sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, medical history, or financial account details into the chat. If you choose to submit a quote request through the assistant, the contact and coverage details you provide are handled as described elsewhere in this policy, including being shared with insurance carriers to prepare your comparison.
AI Agents and Automated Quote Requests
We operate a public interface (a Model Context Protocol server at mcp.seaworthy.io) that allows AI assistants and agents to retrieve our published educational content and, at a user's direction, submit a quote request on that user's behalf. A quote request submitted by an AI agent contains the same fields as our website form (name, contact details, occupation, state, date of birth, and income) and is handled identically under this policy, including the sharing described above. We instruct agents to obtain the user's consent to be contacted before submitting, and the interface does not accept Social Security numbers, medical history, or financial account details.
Data Retention
We retain quote-request and client information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet insurance-industry legal and regulatory recordkeeping obligations, which commonly extend for several years after a policy is placed or an inquiry goes inactive. Chat-assistant logs are retained in redacted form for quality review. When information is no longer required for these purposes, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion at any time as described below, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
Access to Your Information
You are entitled to know whether we hold information about you and, if we do, to have access to that information and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate. You can request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at (800) 518-1190 or contact@seaworthy.io.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
